When to use Is/Are

When you are speaking of  yourself, use "am." When you are talking about another person or a thing ,in the singular, use "is." When you are talking to another person, and when you are talking about other people or things (in the plural), use "are." 

EXAMPLES:

  • I am (I'm)

  • You are (you're)

  • He/She/It is (he's/she's/it's)

  • We are (we're)

  • You [all] are (you're)

  • They are (they're)
